Dear participants,
In accordance with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) of 1989, the child is defined as a person who has not reached the age of 18. Although there are differences in the national laws of the countries in matters such as the consent and responsibilities of children, we use the definition of child in line with the international law specified in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. It is very important to understand the gift of nature to humanity, the place and value of children who are tomorrow's owners in society. As Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of Turkey, the first country in the world to give a holiday to children and share this holiday with all the children of the world, said "Children are the guarantee of our future, our joy of life. It is our human duty to raise today's child as the eldest of tomorrow."
As Fırat University Faculty of Communication, Department of Visual Communication Design, we want to draw attention to the freedom, position and image of the child in society with our international poster design and photography exhibition whose theme is "Kites in the Sky: Child”. Children who inspire humanity and are a beacon of hope are the heroes of our future.
In our “Kites in the Sky: Child” exhibition, our aim is to reveal the image of children from the past to the present, and at the same time to use the stories of our children, who have an important place in life.
In accordance with the theme of "Kites in the Sky: Child", we believe that being a partner with your poster design and photographic works about the child will make our exhibition even more meaningful.
