The aim of the Visual Communication Design Department is to train communicators who, in the technological culture we live in, produce new solutions to visual problems in light of the theories and examples they have learned, transform them into designs and present them back to society. Courses in this section; It covers areas such as broadcast design, multimedia design, cyber culture, animation, typography and video production. In addition to the curriculum, importance is also given to practical work. The Visual Communication Design Department will also provide aesthetic momentum by meeting the visual design needs of the Radio-Television and Cinema department and other departments within the Faculty of Communication.
A curriculum focusing on design in the digital environment has been created in the Department of Visual Communication Design. One of the goals of the Department of Visual Communication Design is to train artists for "digital arts", which is described as the art branch of the future. Students who will graduate from the department will specialize in visual communication design in the media, communication and advertising sectors where art and design are intertwined, and will specialize in desktop graphic publishing, corporate identity design, information design, three-dimensional design, web design, video and film technology, animation, three-dimensional They have the opportunity to work as creative graphic and multimedia designers in different fields such as visualization, motion picture design, film and television production studio applications.
